entertainment venues including The El Mocambo, The Copa and The Gasworks, as well as work with colleges and universities across North America. On top of his booking duties, he was also a band manager who helped many acts secure recording contracts and tour around the world. In the early 1990's, Evan switched gears and moved into the comedy business with Yuk Yuk's International and their booking division, Funny Business Talent Agency. After a decade of talent coordination for Canada's premier comedy organization he was ready to explore new possibilities with HELP.

 

 

Evan's beginnings in the entertainment business dateback to 1974 when he started as a writer for MusicCanada Quarterly (Canada's answer to Rolling Stone). While writing, he was also the social convenor at his high school booking the top Canadian acts of the 70's. After graduating from high school and moving to Toronto to get his university diploma, he stayed active in the business, writing for many popular magazines and working as a staff photographer for many others, squeezing in album jacket photography in his spare time. He was also the publicist for Bigland Communications and the Promotions Director for Music Shoppe International while still in university. Immediately upon graduating, he was hired as the Director Of Business Affairs for Platinum Artists, one of the country's top rock music booking agencies.
